Date and place of birth: Auqib Nabi Dar was born on 4 November 1996 in Sheeri, Baramulla, in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

Parent and childhood: His father, Ghulam Nabi Dar, worked as a government school English teacher. Auqib’s mother, Mehmooda Begum, is a homemaker. He also has a brother named Imran Nabi Dar. He also performed quite well in the 2025 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he took 15 wickets in the 7 matches with an impressive economy rate of 7.41. He also performed great in the Vijay Hazare Trophy of the 2025-26 season. He got 14 wickets and scored a century against Hyderabad. Though his best performance came in the Ranji Trophy of the 2025-26 season. Where he contributed to Jammu & Kashmir’s maiden Ranji Trophy win. Auqib was the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. Auqib Dar has been a good performer in the Ranji Trophy since his debut season in the 2019–20 season. Though his best performance came in the recent winning run of Jammu & Kashmir.

The talented all-rounder spent the 2024-25 season with a record 10-wicket match haul vs Rajasthan. He also got a total of 26 wickets this season. His best bowling in first-class cricket also came against Rajasthan, where his bowling stats remain 5/22. As a lower-order right-handed batsman, he made his maiden half-century in the red ball in 2026. When he scored 58 runs. He also kept a good strike rate through the APL, where he got his first half-century in T20 format. In that match against Rayalaseema Kings, he played a match-winning innings and remained 63 not out.

Auqib Dar highest first-class score and best bowling figures came in the Jammu & Kashmir’s innings defeat of Rajasthan in October 2025, when he made 55 and took 3 wickets for 29 and 7 wickets for 24.
