Unfortunately for Singh, during 2022 his career was interrupted by injury, and he was unable to participate in a large part of the cricket seasons due to a back injury suffered during training sessions.

Records & Achievements
Gurjapneet Singh has already achieved multiple career milestones early in his career.
His biggest accomplishment in the beginning was during the Ranji Trophy while playing his first game and taking 6 wickets for 22 runs against Saurashtra, giving him an instant place among the leading fast bowlers in domestic cricket.
Finishing as the 2nd highest wicket-taker in the 2023 Tamil Nadu Premier League with 15 wickets was another great accomplishment.
Gurjapneet Singh also received exposure by being the nets bowler for the Indian national team in the 2024 home series against Bangladesh; at one practice session, he bowled out Virat Kohli, leading to much talking among cricket circles.
In September 2025, Gurjapneet Singh was named to the India A squad for the home series against Australia A, showing that he is among the players being considered as part of the future India pace-bowling pool.
Best Performance
Gurjapneet Singh performed his best in his first-ever match of the Ranji Trophy by taking six wickets for only twenty-two runs in the game versus Saurashtra. The highlight of his bowling was that he dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara, who was one of India’s senior test cricketers. His performance indicated his ability to swing the ball as well as keep a very good line and length along with extracting bounce off the pitch on offer.
Playing Style
Gurjapneet Singh is a tall left-arm pace bowler who regularly delivers at 130 km/h or more. Being tall affords Gurjapneet the advantage of being able to obtain more bounce and speed off a pitch than other similar bowlers and can therefore pose real problems for batsmen when the pitch is running true (ie, a lot of life on the ball). Gurjapneet is also capable of bowling aggressively (i.e., getting on the front foot) and maintaining pressure by bowling accurately (i.e., line and length).
Another important asset of Gurjapneet’s bowling repertoire is his back-of-the-hand slower delivery, which is very effective at deceiving opponents in limited-overs cricket. Additionally, he can bowl excellent yorkers, particularly at the end of an innings.
As a right-hand bat, Gurjapneet can provide value to a team as a lower-order bat; however, his major contribution is as a bowler.
Net Worth
According to estimates by 2026, Gurjapneet Singh’s net worth is approximately ₹2 – ₹3 crore, and his main source of income comes from his IPL contract with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), where he was bought in at ₹2.2 crore during the 2025 auction. Listed below are the primary sources of income Gurjapneet Singh will have while earning in 2026. Gurjapneet Singh’s primary sources of income include:
- IPL salary pertaining to the contract Gurjapneet Singh has with CSK.
- Domestic/cricket match fee
- Tamil Nadu Premier League contracts
- Other sponsorship/endorsement deal opportunities.
Gurjapneet Singh’s income could increase dramatically as he gets more playing time in both the IPL and domestic tournaments alike.
Personal Life
Gurjapneet Singh’s life outside of cricket is not known to many. He prefers to keep this aspect of his life away from public view and concentrate exclusively on his career in the sport of cricket.
As a fast bowler, having a good level of fitness is essential in order to maintain a high level of performance; this means that Gurjapneet works hard to build up his strength, stamina, and endurance to be able to perform well during matches.
