The IPL purple cap is given to the best bowler in terms of wickets in a single season. The issue is that even in the tournament, the leading wicket-taker wears the cap on the field and this is one of those details that makes the IPL electric.
Yuzvendra Chahal is the one with the highest number of wickets in the history of IPL by far with 224 wickets in all. Dwayne Bravo (2013) and Harshal Patel (2021) share the record of the most wickets in a single season of 32 wickets.

6. Sai Kishore - 19 Wickets | Gujarat Titans

- He is the highest in the top 10 in his average, which is understandable, as he is not in his prime anymore. However, 17 wickets in 14 matches in a team that has gone ahead to win the IPL is still a good contribution.
