Early life
Date and place of birth: Tripurana Vijay was born on September 5, 2001, in Tekkali, a small town in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Parent and childhood: He is from a humble middle-class family. His father, Tripurana Venkatakrishna Raju, works in the government’s information department, and his mother, Lavanya, is a housewife. Tripurana also has an elder brother named Vinay. Vinay Vijay is also successful in his respective career; he is a software engineer.
Domestic cricket: Vijay started his career in domestic cricket for the Andhra cricket team. He performed well in both the Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He also earned renown in the Andhra Premier League (APL) while playing for the Godavari Titans and later with Vizag Warriors.
Debut: The youth talent started his career in One Day cricket on 10th December 2021, against Jammu & Kashmir at the prestigious Vijay Hazare Trophy. On the other hand, he got his debut in the Ranji Trophy on 17th February 2022 against Rajasthan in Thiruvananthapuram. His T20 debut happened on 17th October 2023 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Punjab. Vijay got his APL debut in 2022.
International Career

Tripurana Vijay had his debut in the Ranji Trophy on 17th February 2022 against Rajasthan in Thiruvananthapuram. He also got his first wicket in the one-day cricket match against Rajasthan in this match. Though his breakthrough came in the 2024-25 season with a record 10-wicket match haul vs Rajasthan. He got 26 wickets this season. In the 2025-26 season let him establish himself as a lead spinner. He got 24 wickets this season. He also shines as a lower-order batsman in the 2025-26 season, where he achieved the first half-century.
The Andhra Premier League (APL) gave him a breakthrough in T20 cricket. He debuted in the 2022 season for Godavari Titans. He had a successful season in this debut season itself, and the Godavari Titans reached the playoffs of the league.
